About me

Ms. Maria DeBacco is a devoted piano teacher who blends Suzuki and traditional methods while teaching with kindness, patience, and a focus on each child’s passion. She encourages students to explore a variety of genres—from classical and jazz to blues, gospel, and beyond—so that lessons truly reflect their interests and inspire a lifelong love of music.

As Music Director of the Musical Memories Project, Ms. Maria also brings her students into the community. Each month, they perform for seniors in nursing homes and memory care centers, where familiar songs spark joy and awaken cherished memories. Through her lessons, students experience the joy of playing not just for themselves, but also for others—creating a ripple of happiness that reaches far beyond the piano bench and into the hearts of the community.
